About this Event

Releasing Shame with Elle

Do you feel shame talking openly about sex?

Do you feel shame about your desires, your eroticism, or your body?

If so, you’re totally normal.

Feeling shame about sex and sexuality is tragically common, due to familial, religious, and societal conditioning of who we believe we "should" be, what we “should” look like, and how we “should” behave. However, the obstacle shame presents can be transformed into a pathway of liberation, self-acceptance, and connection.

By shining light on what may feel shameful, dark and vulnerable, we normalize our differences. We are empowered to choose the values and beliefs that work for us, not against us.

In this 60 minute workshop, we’ll:

  • Review what shame is and how it shows up in your body

  • Identify common belief patterns that create shame, such as body image, religious teachings, gender roles, etc.

  • Learn and practice mind (rational) and body (somatic) methods for letting go of deeply held shame patterns

*Trigger Warning: This class may use sexually explicit language that could be triggering for some people.*
