Friday Five: Intention

Keep reading for 5 ways to prepare your intention for sex magick.

1. Thoughtful Telos

Begin with creating a “telos,” the ancient Greek word for fulfillment, completion, goal or aim, and take 5-10 minutes to meditate on what you want to manifest right now. You can follow these journal prompts to find more clarity.

  • I clearly see myself [ex: securing that opportunity, passing my exams] because I am currently doing [what you are doing to achieve this].

  • I am able to get what I want because [qualities/habits you have that help you move toward your dreams].

  • My highest priority right now is to [xyz], and I will focus on it by [how will you reach that priority].

2. Commanding Words

Decide on an affirmation with this telos by crafting one sentence that you can easily repeat.

[e.g., I am attracting prosperous opportunities for me to share my healing practice.]

3. Evoking Imagery

Depending on what your telos is, another way to focus attention is by visualizing what you’d like to attain, feel and/or attract. If you’re hoping to manifest a new house in a specific area you might find it easier to visualize the surroundings, atmosphere and the home itself.

4. Repetition

Once you’ve decided on your specific affirmation and/or visualization, continue working with your telos, repeating and imagining it in your mind throughout the day as if you already are living with this goal. This is the power of quantum magnetizing your goals.

“The belief behind quantum theory is that everything an individual senses already exists in the universe. By utilizing manifestation techniques to visualize a specific desire and creating an internal belief that the desire is already fulfilled, quantum theory states that material manifestation can be achieved.”

5. Tune-Up

Check-in with your sexual health with these prompts to confirm that you’re ready for this ritual.

  • How aware are you of what feels pleasurable to you in the bedroom?

  • What is your perception of other people’s relationships and could that be affecting how you understand your own sexuality?

  • What’s your gender orientation and how does that impact your relationships?
