Friday Five: Happy Spring Equinox!
Whether you are moving into spring or fall, the coming month is a season of transition. As you’re able, take time to be intentional about your day-to-day life. Here are 5 simple activities you can use as inspo that will benefit both the environment and your body.
5 ways to reactivate our home, body and sex life:
Sunshine Heals!
For those moving into spring this will be a bit easier as longer days allow more opportunity to soak in the sun. No matter daylight’s length, get outside and let your bare feet touch the earth—sand, grass, mud, running water. It will help you feel more relaxed and influence your bodily processes in a positive way:
“Earth's electrons induce multiple physiological changes, including reduced pain, better sleep, a shift from sympathetic to parasympathetic tone in the autonomic nervous system.”
2. Cook at Night
Eating seasonally and at home is better for the environment and your health. Your winter veggies should be more dense and carbohydrate heavy to help store heat and energy, while spring and summer foods should be high in fiber to help boost your metabolism. Prepare a light, refreshing salad with avocados, radishes, sun-dried tomatoes, and beets. These foods are also high in Vitamin B6, C and E.
“Vitamin B6 regulates the sex hormones and increases libido by regulating estrogen production, testosterone, red blood cells, serotonin, and dopamine production.”
3. Feng Shui Your Way
We are also influenced by our own personally created environment, our home. When our home is peaceful and in harmony, so are we.
Feng Shui is the art of organizing a space to achieve this balance. Placing your bed in a “commanding position” is a good place to start as it’s where you recharge, share intimacy and begin and end your day.
“If you're sitting up in bed with your back against the headboard, you would want to be able to see the door without being directly in line with it. Usually that means you're looking diagonally toward the door.”

4. Harmless Sex
Allow the spring energy to stimulate your sex drive but make sure other beings aren’t harmed in the process. Before buying, check and make sure your products are made without animal testing.
Animal derivatives also make their way into products like lube and condoms. Look out for the ingredients casein and glycerin which are made from cow’s milk and animal fat.
5. Wholesome Threesome
