Talking Tantra with Meditation Teacher and Coach Gustavo Monje (Tantra Thoughts)

Gustavo Monje, from Tantra Thoughts

Tantra is merging the individual consciousness
into infinite consciousness”
— Gustavo Monje, What is Tantra?

“Tantra is an ancient spiritual science that goes back over 7.000 years to ancient India and etymologically means expanding your consciousness in order to obtain liberation,” explains Gustavo, who points out that

TAN means “expansion”
TRA means “liberation”

One of the biggest misconceptions surrounding Tantra is that Tantra is mainly a sexual practice, often disregarding all other aspects of this “spiritual science” that intersect with our daily habits, our perception of reality, our values and our attitudes towards other humans.

To understand Tantra even better, we talk with Meditation Teacher, Emotional Fitness Coach and Professor of English and Literature at Northern Virginia Community College, Gustavo Monje. He is the host of the YouTube channel Tantra Thoughts, which has been up and running for about 6 years, providing people with tantric wisdom and meditation techniques.

Dive into this episode where we discuss relationships, spirituality, sexuality and emotional fitness because sex relates to ALL aspects of our lives. The state of our minds and spirits can influence the way we experience our sexuality.
